Day 1: Cape Town, South Africa
Arrive in Cape Town.
Day 2: Cape Town
Take a ferry ride to Robben Island, the UNESCO World Heritage site where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for 18 years. Then, enjoy a Cape Town city tour including Table Mountain, the Bo Kaap, District Six Museum, Castle of Good Hope, and Greenmarket Square.
Day 3: Cape of Good Hope
Set out on a full-day tour of the Cape of Good Hope including Hout Bay to see Cape fur seals, Cape Point, and a Boulders Beach to see a penguin colony.
Day 4: Cape Town / Cape Winelands
Visit the Cheetah Outreach, an education and community-based program promoting awareness of the endangered African cheetah. Continue to the Cape Winelands region and settle into your charming hotel.
Day 5: Cape Winelands
Spend the day touring the Cape Town wine route, tasting the “fruits of the vines” and enjoying the charm and hospitality of this unique region.
Day 6: Cape Winelands / Sabi Sabi Game Reserve
Fly to Nelspruit and transfer to your safari lodge located in the Sabi Sand Game Reserve, the oldest private reserve in South Africa. Set out on an afternoon game drive and marvel at Africa’s “big five”–lion, leopard, Cape buffalo, rhino, and elephant.
Day 7: Sabi Sabi Game Reserve
Embark on morning and afternoon game drives with expert naturalists. Opt for a guided walk in the bush, which provides a better chance to see some of the smaller species of the region.
Day 8: Sabi Sabi Game Reserve
Set out on game drives in search of cheetah, giraffe, zebra, and a variety of antelope species.
Day 9: Sabi Sabi Game Reserve / Savanna Private Game Reserve
Transfer to the Savanna Private Game Reserve, where it is not unusual to see lion, leopard, elephant, and rhino in a single game drive.
Day 10: Savanna Private Game Reserve
Embark on game drives in this prime bushveld area, studded with dams that attract large herds, cheetah, wild dog, hippo, crocodile, and over 400 bird species.
Day 11: Savanna Private Game Reserve / Livingstone, Zambia
Fly to Livingstone, Zambia. Embark on a sunset cruise along the Zambezi River.
Day 12: Victoria Falls
Enjoy a privately guided visit to explore Victoria Falls, a UNESCO World Heritage site and one of the seven natural wonders of the world. One mile wide, Victoria Falls is the largest curtain of water in the world and drops more than 330 feet into the sheer Zambezi Gorge.
Day 13: Victoria Falls / Depart for Home
Transfer to the airport and depart for home.
