Day 1: San Pedro Sula / Omoa / San Pedro Sula
Arrive in San Pedro Sula. Drive to Omoa, one of the oldest towns in Honduras and visit the San Fernando Fortress built by the Spaniards in the 18th century.
Day 2: San Pedro Sula / Copán Ruinas
In the morning, take a private bus to Copán and witness the beauty of the Honduran countryside. After lunch, spend the afternoon at leisure. Peruse the museum at the center of town, or stroll through the picturesque village with shops of local handmade crafts.
Day 3: Copán Ruinas
Today, take a privately guided tour of the ruins of Copán, just a 30 minute walk from town. Learn about the impressive 63-step stairway with more than 2,500 hieroglyphs and masterfully carved stelae.
Day 4: Copán Ruinas / San Pedro Sula / Lancetilla / Tela
After breakfast, take the direct bus back to San Pedro Sula, where your guide meets you. Transfer to Tela, a small port at the Caribbean coast. En route visit one of the worldwide largest Botanical Gardens.
Day 5: Punta Sal National Park
In the early morning, explore the impressive rock formations of Punta Sal. Visit the sheltered bays, well hidden among the rocks, with palm fringed beaches and blue lagoons. Take a brief forest hike and relax on the beach, or swim and snorkel in the crystal clear water.
Day 6: Tela
Take the day at leisure. Enjoy the fine beaches of Tela and soak in the sun, sand and sea.
Day 7: Tela / San Pedro Sula / Home
Spend one last morning to discover Tela’s beauty. In the afternoon, transfer back to San Pedro Sula and depart for home.
